Hi everyone in the van travelling world, and beyond!

Welcome to our first ever blog, about our first ever travels, in our first ever motorhome! We are Mags & Kev and, together with our ancient arthritic border collie Marley, we are Duncombes Roaming. We both work for a smallish independent builders merchants, as a kitchen/bathroom designer, and assistant branch manager respectively, but were looking for a way to add more travel and adventure to our life together.
Before we start let’s get past the elephant in the room…..I NEVER wanted a van or motorhome! I mean never! We have been together for twenty years and for nineteen of those, Kev has been trying to persuade me to look at motorhomes. I have used every excuse going- space/ cost/ availability/ site fees, any negatives I could come up with. Then last year we discovered vanlife vlogs. Bored with the usual tv diet of quiz shows, soaps, and Americana, we turned to YouTube for inspiration.
BAM!!! This was a complete revelation! the exPAWers theexpawers.com, John & Mandy https://www.gjot.uk/vanlife, Greg Virgoe, officertravels.com, Eamon & Bec eamonandbec.com, The Indie Projects theindieprojects.com– these are real people, living real lives, in real vans, not some set up, financed reality show, actual real life. The videos were mesmerising and suddenly a whole new world was viable, clear, and POSSIBLE!
And so the decision was made and the search began!
